Ok, give me the odds that the Boston bombing, the ricin envelopes and this explosion are concerted terrorist plots. 1/10? 1/100?

Zero. Even if (and, obviously, big if) the bombing and the envelopes are connected, this is definitely an industrial accident.

#21 Posted by KungfuKitten (20905 posts) -

So it was a plant working with explosive materials.
Normally they have last hope solutions like concrete cube housings with one side open or artificial hills to direct a potential explosion away from a village or upwards.

Maybe they had some kind of different final safety measures in place though. I am not judging them only questioning them. Normally when something like this happens, it's not one mistake. Many mistakes at once create an unforeseen disaster.
It sounds like there was a tanker involved here.

Condolences to all the poor people who lost someone dear.
And I have faith that all who die will find a better world than this one.

Fertilizer is no joke, remember the Oklahoma City Bombing? Here's a VIDEO of the type of bomb he used then. Powerful stuff. In Oppau Germany like 90 years ago a silo containing ammonium nitrate and ammonium sulfate exploded killing like 600 people, injuring thousands, destroyed most the town. Glass was shattered for miles.

startled from shockwave, his kid was panicking and saying he couldn't hear anything, maybe the dad couldn't hear anything either, if I thought I'd just gone deaf or my kid was I wouldn't give a crap about filming at that point

I did not mean what he actually filmed, however the way he hold his phone for it. Instead of 16:9, he went 9:16...

Am keeping you in my prayers Dave. Please stay safe out there.

It's not like I am in any danger. Just an accident a ways away. But thanks :)

You never know. Always have to be careful. Strange things are happening in the world right now. First Boston. Then the poison letters. Then this. Now the Downtown LA Hooters bomb scare.

[QUOTE="Netherscourge"]

The bomb Timothy McVeigh made to destroy the Oklahoma City Federal building was a fertilizer bomb - packed into 1 rental truck.

They can be a very powerful explosive material.

Fightingfan

I've always heard you could do that, but how?

Think of it this way. Plants need a lot of energy to grow. Soil has some energy and a lot more comes from the sun. However fertilizer is basically just tons of packed in energy to supercharge the soil. Remember all matter is essentially latent energy. Plants turn soil and nutrients into energy just like they use the sun.

So basically fertilizer is just lots of compacted energy that can be released with the right catalyst. Pack enough in and BOOM you can get a big explosion if you can somehow release it really quickly.

This reminds me of the Arcadian Corporations Lake Charles Louisiana ammonia reactor explosion that happened in 92. @ Wis3boi, I was listening to that new Black Sabbath song and watching your sig. She was really getting into it.

It is just a coincidence, not really common just they happen back to back.

But this explosion kind of reminds me of the PEPCON plant explosion at Henderson, Nevada back in 1988. It was a plant that makes stuff for solid rocket boosters, and after the Space Shuttle was frozen it had 4500 tons of the stuff. The two largest explosions hit like 3 and 3.5. But thankfully it wasn't that close to residential buildings, only two workers were killed. I just wonder why this fertilizer plant was so close to residental areas, I would think that is something you want away from those areas?

April 19 - May 1
- Blood Sacrifice To The Beast, a most critical 13-day period. Fire sacrifice is required on April 19. April 19 is the first day of the 13-day Satanic ritual day relating to fire - the fire god, Baal, or Molech/Nimrod (the Sun God), also known as the Roman god, Saturn (Satan/Devil). This day is a major human sacrifice day, demanding fire sacrifice with an emphasis on children. This day is one of the most important human sacrifice days, and as such, has had some very important historic events occur on this day.

  • April 19, 1904 - The Great Fire of Toronto
  • April 18, 1906 - The San Francisco Earthquake Fire
  • April 16, 1947- Texas City fertilizer plant explosion
  • April 20, 1999 - The Columbine High School Massacre
  • April 19, 2005 - Joseph Alois Ratzinger elected as Pope Benedict XVI
  • April 19, 2010 - In Canada over 400 hundred of straw bales caught on fire and blazed out of control
  • April 20, 2010 - The Gulf Oil Fire
  • April 20 - The Birthday of Adolf Hitler
