Usually, for some reason, whenever I hear something with 'MAN' in front of some object leads me to believe that said person who has it has problems with his sexuality
Granted, I'm not sure what a sun lamp is, but it sounds kind of lame

I do ultrasonic inspections, mostly thickness readings right now. I am still working on getting the other experience hours to get my cert. It isn't that hard and it has nothing to do with xrays (don't know why a hospital would include it in the radiology department. :?) Now phased array is a wicked inspection technique.

Radiology department has really kind of become an old school term. It's now called diagnostic imaging to be more precise. It makes pleny of sense for it to be located in this part of the hospital. Don't be mislead by the terminology.Oh, and--- ultrasonic inspections =/= diagnostic medical sonography. :P

Ultrasonics all work on the same principles. High frequency sound waves that do not pass easily through gaseous substances though they do pass easily through liquids and solids.

What kind of degree would one get to work in your field? Just curious. It's complicated to explain fullybut no degree is required. Generally it's a 2 year program plus pre reqs ---after which you can sit for your board examinations. This has become the industry standard.Medical sonography is WAY more complicated than most people assume because most associate it with pregnancy and discovering the gender of their baby. Although obstetric exams are highly complex as well.
