That's horrible. But if I was in his situation, I'd probably be pissed off and kill someone too. Probably the woman who made the bogus charge. In my opinion, the woman who made that charge should get at least 18 years in jail.

Prison made him that way. He shouldve done the whole 'double jeopardy' thing and gotten revenge on that photographer.

I know it's horrible, but for some reason I laughed hysterically when I read the title of the thread - it's just so blunt.

You can't be charged with the same crime twice. If I broke into your house and stole all of your stuff, and then a week later, broke back into your house and stole everything else, I could be charged for each incident. "Double jeopardy" only applies to one single crime. If I broke into your house once, and was caught, you press charges, and I get off? Well, then you couldn't press charges again for that crime - But you could take me to civil court, where it's much easier to establish a winning preponderance of evidence. If I, on the other hand, were convicted, and then after I got out, I hunted you down, broke into your home and robbed you again...then I could be charged with that, too. Committing one crime doesn't give you a blanket "do this particular act an infinite number of times because you can only be charged with it once" card. So now you know. Also: I promise I'm not going to break into your house and steal all your stuff. :D

what I don't get is that he did this after he sued the city and won a multi million dollar award. He spends 20 years in jail, gets out and becomes a millionaire, then rapes and kills someone and gets put back in jail.

He was mad I guess. Mad he had to spend 18 years of his life away for something he didn't do.
