The Winter Soldier. Rather enjoyable because it didn't feel like a superhero movie. More like an espionage thriller.
Paddington - does that great Pixar-esque thing of being great for adults as well as kids. Really enjoyed it.
Big Eyes - Nice retro-view of San Francisco. Waltz is great as always.
and, the film we've been working on of course, Arthur and Merlin.
Missing In Action
A dozen Vietnamese soldiers can't shoot an open boat on a river fifteen feet in front of them.

Is there anything better? (It's this scene from Amadeus). The way Mozart balances and projects the different points of views and agendas in his ensembles, constantly driving the music and drama forward into brilliant finishes, is just something else. I know opera isn't to everyone's taste, and in a world where our overextended lexicon is stretched so thin that we often have to rely on hyperbole to describe such works of art which have become fossilized in the canon, where such descriptions come off as bordering on almost conditioned reverence, it is becoming increasingly harder to convey just how good something actually is without it coming off as slightly insincere - but you know what, **** it, Mozart's operas fucking rock, and if you don't think they're some of the greatest artistic creations of all time, then I don't want to know you. And just because it's so damn good!

Mommy
Early Summer
When a Woman Ascends the Stairs
Pretty sweet line-up, Brutal. The more Ozu, the better.
As if I couldn't like you any more. Now that's a fucking maxim I can live by!
Did you watch Marnie?

I did not, of course.
I try to save what Ozu I have left (which, admittedly, is a lot.) Kind of like how I've been saving the last Tarkovsky.
Mommy. Like/Dislike/Dolan is a hack?
Ex Machina 8/10
Same, although I gave it 9/10. Great themes, fantastic character direction and good robot animation. Loved the film.
Race for your life, Charlie Brown
A childhood favorite film of mine that I'm happy to say, holds up very well.
The Machinist for the God-knows-how-many times.
Watched it , made me kinda sick ...but it's decent.
Enjoyed the hell outta Birdman , after Interstellar it's the best movie of 2014 for me.
Yet to watch Nightcrawler
A Beautiful Mind is just awesome , THAT acting by Russel.C !
Avengers: Age Of Something Or Another
Too long. Too many characters. Cringey Romance sub-plot. Smug and totally in love with itself.

Yup Russel Crowe's performance was amazing. He reminded me of one of our teachers at university. The only difference was, Russel Crowe doesn't hurt anyone, while our psychopath teacher used to beat the shit out of my friends. He had issues. He used to beat, then the next day he used to take those guys on lunch! Terrible person lol. Interstellar was the best movie of 2014 for me too.
Conan (1982)
Simple revenge plot-line, minimum dialogue, minimum special effects, brisk grounded combat with one of the best music scores in the history man, ever?

A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night
Adrift in Tokyo
Jupiter Ascending. Can we harvest whoever enjoys this film so I can get my time back? Trade Federations was more engaging.
@sammyjenkis898:
I liked it. Thought the claustrophobic aspect ratio worked, for the obvious moments of emotional relief when it transitions (as well as the converse when it breaks down). I don't have much of an opinion on Dolan as I've only seen this movie of his. What do you reckon? Any of his other films worth watching?
The Water Diviner
Not great, it was kind of interesting, but it felt like an hour long story stretched out to twice its length. I don't mind slow movies if they're engaging, but too often I was kind of bored and just not that invested in the characters.

I've only seen that one as well. Someone recently told me Laurence Anyways is like Dolan doing Wong Kar-Wai, so that'll be the next one I check out.
Commando: Directors Cut
From the opening of Arnold Schwarzenegger feeding a deer to steam venting from an impaled Vernon Wells, it becomes apparent that reality is not good enough.
1000/10
The new bluray cover is much better.
Hi, the last film I watched at the cinema is Avengers; the era of Ultron. I think this is a film you have to watch to the cinema to the action scenes. However, personally, the story is not very original. While the second last movie I watched that deserves its 2 Oscars: The Imitation Game. The script is based on real events which makes it exciting film. And then we find Keira Knightley, which is always a pleasure for the eyes. ;)
Downfall
Good movie, ending kinda eh. A climax, then a mop up job of the other Nazi's who have been on screen for minutes.
Kingsman, what a shitty mess of a movie.
You take that back, it was a wonderful film.
What's so wonderful about it? Acting was lackluster (Colin Firth's phoned it in and Samuel Jackson's terrible and inconsistent lisp), characters and plot are horribly cliche, humor was weak, action was lame. Only good part is the end with whats-her-names butt.

That was the whole point of the film. It was a brilliant cliche of the typical spy genre. And I thought the humor for the most part was great. With mostly good reviews on Rottentomatoes, I'm not alone.

Good for you for having same taste as reviewers on rottentomatoes? How do you like CoD games because they've got mostly good reviews too?
