I seriously think we are going to see a comic book crash soon.. There are entirely too many movies and shows coming out all at once with few actually changing up anything.. Spider-Man is really a posterchild of this, in which we are basically seeing a 3rd reboot of a series in less than two decades. Too much money is poisoning the industry in which they are just churning this shit out riding off the success of movies prior to it.
While I thought Age of Ultron was not as great as it could have been, the comic book movie industry has only been improving since the days of the first Spider-Man films started it on the road to success.
Guardians of the Galaxy is an absolutely outstanding piece of cinematic achievement that really sets the bar for the rest of Marvel (and DC's) efforts in the film medium in the years to come. Granted, for that particular genre of film, it is still well below other genre standards.
If Infinity War, Civil War and the new Justice League films are not up-to-snuff with what's been happening in the past couple years, then I will definitely agree with you. But I will remain optimistic, since I could only have dreamed of movies of this calibre as a child.
