J-POP Summit

Has anyone ever been to one of these events? A friend of mine just told me about it today and asked me to go. I always liked Japanese stuff and think this looks kind of cool but, I have never been to any kind of event like this. Kind of looks like a comic convention which I have personally enjoyed in the past when the Wondercon was held in San Francisco. The J-pop Summit is going to be held here in San Francisco on August 8 and 9 in the Fort Mason Center. Does anyone have any kind of experience with these kind of events? Am I going to end up spending like half of a paycheck in there?

It's ok as long as you're not above the age of 20. Beyond that it's just creepy and immature in my eyes.

I don't have the time to go to events any more , but this is the same as a concert to , just more pink haze then purple.
