Recently the Subway guy Jared Fogle was investigated under suspicion of carrying child pornography (which I hope isn't true) but apparently the sandwich chain has a lot of skeletons in their closet...

What do you make of this video? It highlights some of the darkest secrets from Subway's past but a lot of them are pretty recent. Is there any truth to any of them? If so I dont know if I could ever eat there again...

@Tigerman950: An actor subway employs isn't really relevant to the topic of weather or not subway is corrupt... they have no control over that.

I would say it's pretty hard to find any multi million dollar corporation that isn't corrupt.

@MuD3: Apparently some of their food increases risk of cancer and hepatitis A, or at least it has in the past...that's made up right?

How would you define a corrupt company. What do you mean by corrupt? I think any big company or organization will have some corruption in it, but that doesn't mean the whole company is corruption.

I wouldn't doubt Subway hosts a tor network with terabytes of child pornography.

Jared's supposed link to child pornography doesn't really point to Subway being corrupt.

The chemical that people wanted Subway to take out of their bread has been removed.

People getting sick from food poisoning is more indicative of carelessness by employee's the that of corruption of an entire company.

Managers falsifying information in order to save money from not throwing away product is certainly a problem that should be addressed but I don't think I'd label it as corruption. Also the truthfulness of employee information needs to be verified as well.

Subway claiming to be a healthier choice is something that needs to be better scrutinized by the consumer. A 6-inch veggie sub on whole wheat with no cheese and no sauces is a pretty healthy choice. People getting a foot long sub with 3 kinds of meats, extra cheese, and mayo really should expect it to suddenly become healthy because they throw on some lettuce and tomato. This is a food industry wide problem though so I wouldn't single out Subway on this and call them corrupt.

Mate, there was a news article a few months back that I saw on Facebook which stated McDonalds used human meat in their burgers. In the article there was even a statement from a police officer, and a court judge. In the end it turned out to be a fake article, so what's the lesson to be learnt here? Don't believe everyone you see on the internet folks, now sure some of these (like the first one) probably happened but don't look so into it because that can happen at any restaurant and isn't exclusive to Subway.

You forget to mention Subway's overpriced items.

It does have a strong presence compared to other nearby food joints.
