is it possible to connect your desktop to your television screen??

I know you can with the use of an s video cable with your laptop, but how bout desktop??

the only way to do it with a desktop is if you have an S-Video Out on your video card.

my friend did it on his LCD 32" he could flick from tv to pc. it was quite cool actually.

It's possible using a Mini-DVI to DVI adapter and a DVI cable on my MacBook. I'm not sure if that's possible for you though.

I hooked up an iBook to an LCD TV with a VGA cable.
