Lately I've seen so many posts that use such poor English that I'm compelled to ask.

Technically, Polish is my true first-language. I spend half my life in Europe, but I feel more comfortable speaking, writing and reading English than any other language out there.

Nope, it's Australian, a strange language filled with accented 'a' sounds, strong consonants and bewildering colloquialisms like 'G'Day Mate'...:P yeah, it's English. I wonder if anyone here still speaks like that anymore...

Shutup grammar nazi Writing skill deteriorates after school unless you love perfect writing or have a job that requires it. Nobody is grading it so people become lazy.

It's the internet so it's notation. Nobody really cares. I'm sure many of these people are not native to english because their grasp of english vocabulary is basic. They misunderstand many posts because appearantly they don't fully understand what they are reading. A conflict of interpretation. Which isn't their fault because a translator doesn't encompass the full definition.

Sometimes I submit posts and words letters punctuations and conjunctions are missing. I try to edit but it doesn't fix anything. I don't have a spell checker either. So if I'm feeling lazy I won't correct anything.

My first language is a dialect of German.  Often called Low German or Plaet(?) Deutsch.  My first written language is English.

Back to the original post, I think that laziness is probably the biggest reason for poor grammar and bad spelling, imo.

Kinda. I was born in Italy but English was also spoken in my household. None the less I still talk with a Scottish accent which is another ethnicity in me. Weird.:P

Danish is my native language. English comes in second, and german third, although I quit german classes. (I really disliked the language for some reason.)
