AVG sorta messed up my PC by not letting it boot cause it had some wierd error but it was good while it worked, I now use Microsoft Security Essentials
AVG slows down my desktop on scans, so when I got my laptop I just used Malware bytes, and MSE.
Funny thing is today I had a dream(or rather a nightmare) that my laptop got a virus. Felt very real.
So I scanned both AVG, Malwarebytes & SuperAntiSpyware on Safe Mode. AVG & Malwarebytes didn't find anything, but SuperAntiSpyware found 32 adware cookies on my laptop (I'm afraid someone looked at bad stuff on the Internet). Since it's remove, am I safe? Or is this a sign that I might have more of this "adware" in the future? MisterWWEfanthe problem with superantispyware is that it has "pretty low standards" so it pretty much recognizes anything unknown or harmless as a virus, those "adware tracking cookies" it detects are actually harmless. SAS is still a good free antispyware...helped me remove some big spyware I had once (which didnt let me surf the web, but it did let me play WoW)
I use Avast and the other 2. I read Avast is recommended over AVG.-Renegademy friends have avast and they computers crawl with viruses. I have AVG and I rarely have any.
Thats funny u ask. I jsut did a scan with Malwarebytes and found a few and deleted em. I've been using it for a long time. Works great. silentnightmereI use Malwarebytes but I use SuperAnti Spyware also. SuperAntiSpyware finds stuff that malwarebytes does not.
