@korvus: Lol no never had a problem with it. I am mulatto, so it would really be a disrespect to my parents if I had a problem with interracial dating, lol. Personally when dating men, I prefer hispanics and white, when dating women, I prefer asian and whites, lol.

My wife is of baltic descent and I am of scandinavian descent. I don't think we really belong to the same race, but we are both "white". I guess it's a pretty americanized way to see race as just skin colour. So yes and no to the main questions?
