Internet Ad Overload!

In the past, online advertisements - while annoying even back then - weren't as numerous as they are now. They've gotten to a point where the use of Ad Block isn't just a convenience, but a necessity. Why are there so many darn ads? I just re-installed Chrome and have yet to re-install Ad Block, and this is what I see. Look at this!

I know that I can use Ad Block, which I do,

Really? I use adblock and youtube looks nothing like that for me. you sure you don't have a virus or something?

I should have been clearer in the OP. I just recently re-installed Chrome but have yet to re-install Ad Block. My point is that even without Ad Block, advertisements shouldn't be this annoying.

All those side ads, plus a video ad before you get to watch a video of an ad.

Thank you based ABP.

They still look suspiciously seedy.

Or have I just been sheltered by adblock so long that I've forgotten the depravity of internet advertising?

On that note, who remembers the Evony ads?

looks like malware. i disabled adblock and watched that video and there isn't a single ad on the page.

@Storm_Marine

Temporarily disable your Ad Block and tell us whether you get flooded with ads or not.

I did and looked at your video's page. All I got was a l'oreal ad.

Maybe I have some sort of virus, as you said earlier. Anyhow, I re-installed Ad Block and it's all gone.

What's the video URL? I wouldn't mind checking it myself.

I turned my Ad-Block Plus off and still didn't get all those ads. I got one ad at the top that I could close.

Okay so I disabled my ABP, and I had only gotten one video ad, partnered with a little banner ad off to the side in relation to it.

I guess it is just on your end.

Any of you actually watch the video, just for the hell of it?

I haven't seen an ad for almost a decade. Before I used batch files that block ads.
