I haven't attended church in years and don't intend to for the foreseeable future. And that is that.

We care because it's relevant to the question being asked in the thread... If you don't care about peoples answers then maybe you should go somewhere else...

Here's a clue since you need one. It's a blog post. I don't read his blog for a reason. Maybe you should read it since his personal life is highly important to you.

I was in a church last week or maybe the one before

#8 Edited by Trail_Mix (2021 posts) -

I don't attend church anymore. Grew out of it, along with the religion it followed.

#9 Posted by dave123321 (33829 posts) -

Oh I remember when I would also tell the tc that I hated his thread for one reason or another. One reason being redundancy

Here's a clue since you need one. It's not a blog post. If you don't understand the difference between this and a blog post maybe you should leave. Just because you're a religious nut doesn't mean the rest of us have to be to post on this forum.

I'm sorry. I did not know the context of this thread was hard for you to understand. I forget sometimes we have middle school kids posting here. My bad. Nonetheless...it's a blog post that makes insecure kids feel good about themselves. Enjoy.

You don't need blogs to have a blog

IQ has plummeted in OT. I did not mean you actually physically had one...but I think you need to get one since you think we should read all the drivel you think about.

We know Dave, you said you were leaving and here you are. Can't say if that is a good thing.

#23 Posted by dave123321 (33829 posts) -

No it was a good thing. You should make a poll about it

#27 Edited by TheFlush (5518 posts) -

No, I haven't.

I only go to church for a funeral. I don't go to church for a wedding and baptism, let alone in general.

#28 Posted by fueled-system (6259 posts) -

No I don't though I do believe in God just don't like attending Church at all. And stay classy people no wonder certain users are turning people off from this forum

I'm not religious and never have been, but I go with my wife on occasion. We'll be going for Christmas tomorrow.

#30 Posted by plageus900 (1005 posts) -

I decided to go to my ex-wife's church once. When they started passing around the money basket whilst playing the organ music, I got up and walked out.

A few weeks later, we tried a new church. They were very progressive, very accepting of homosexuals, etc. Also, if you wanted to make a donation, you could privately do it after the service was over. My ex-wife hated this church.

Figures.

I attend church every Sunday and have done so for years. While I was in Seminary I attended church every single day.

#32 Posted by dave123321 (33829 posts) -

@plageus900: what made you walk out of the first church?

#33 Edited by plageus900 (1005 posts) -

@dave123321: The passing around of the money basket while the music was playing and the dirty looks I was given when I didn't put any money in.

The whole thing seemed like a cult ritual.

You're a silly man. I don't understand why this is so hard for you to understand, but the topic was clearly meant for a discussion so it would have been silly for him to post it in a blog. The original poster didn't add so much of his opinion, but simply put up an interesting statistic and asked a question which he had hoped would get answered and possibly lead to discussion about the topic which is exactly why it's a thread instead of a blog post. Maybe I can supply you with a couple of links so you can understand why this is a thread instead of a blog...

http://www.web-strategist.com/blog/2008/01/28/understanding-the-difference-between-forums-blogs-and-social-networks/

I think the second link is a little more helpful, but clearly you need as many sources as possible.

Apparently you do care, considering you took the time to both enter this thread, and to respond to his post...

Nope. Never been in my life. I always found it humorous though, the people that claim to be Christians but only go to church during the holidays or on Christmas Eve.

Anyone surprised at the 4 out 10 that's it's higher than you thought for within a week or two? I would've expected 4/10 attending in the past two or three months but not in the last week. Anyway I stopped going to church, a Lutheran one, years ago.

#41 Posted by plageus900 (1005 posts) -

@dave123321: Funny you should mention that, I hate sunlight. I love overcast, rain, snow, etc.

Good thing I live where it rains 90 Percent of the year. :)

I guess when you open your heart, Shadows/Shade ceases to exist.

Hmm haven't heard that one.
Cats do generally enjoy my company though, perhaps the lions will enjoy the company.

He who treats cats like a lion, treat the ocean like a stream

He must be a very good sailor, if he sails oceans with the same ease as boating down a stream.

We need an atheist church so atheist can collect together, and worship the devil.

Because non-theists worship a christian myth...

Going "Full Gerg" would require me to change my name.

I believe Alts are still against the TOU.
