The point is that he heals up, finds himself (going on to a career of doing what he really enjoys), and moves on with his life, girl or no girl, to better things with possibilities wide open. I watched that movie in the biggest slump of my divorce when I was still pining for someone who had upgraded while I was still around. I found it therapeutic.
HyperWarlock
That sort of sounds like the theme of this movie with Topher Grace and Dennis Quaid called IN Good Company
It was mediocre, ok at times, but he basically finds out that his life was all wrong, falls in love with a girl he can't have, realizes it a bit too late, reassembles his life, and moves on to something better. Â Definitely a feel good movie in more ways than one.
That sounds similar but 500 days of summer isn't really a feel-good, I felt worse coming out than going in.
you need to watch it again then
