I would actually expect the North to rebel more.

I always found it interesting the south is generally historically racist/prejudice, but I see more interracial children in Florida than any of the other states I've visited up north (Ohio, Newyork, maine, etc...).

I'm generally conservative on most issues, but I never have understood the vehement opposition to gay marriage. How 2 consenting adults decide to live their lives has literally no effect on anyone else in any way.

The Supreme Court has followed the culture before; it's an inevitability that they'll eventually rule the many gay marriage ban challenges brought to them unconstitutional.

This would have never been a "problem" if government hadn't decided to be involved in it in the first place. Who a person is with, both emotionally and physically, should be no business of the state's. We are all individuals and the government should treat us as such. No law should be different from one person to another simply because of someone's relationship status.

I respect that opinion, the problem I have with it is that you agree with marriage to multiple people as well.

it's an innate characteristic. Saying you disagree with homosexuality is like saying you disagree with woman or asians. It simply doesn't make sense.
