If you were privileged to make one law, what would you choose (the obvious things like gay mariage doesn't count as those are already being worked on)
@themajormayor: YOu mean the extra taxes you pay on alcohol?
No, I mean that the state has a monopoly to sell alcohol.
Decriminalize drugs, as Portugal did. Far, far too many people are being sent to jail in the United States for simply possessing drugs like marijuana.
@dylandr: What's funny(or sad) is that, despite that possibility, the folks in office don't seem to want the money.

I´m not so certain about decriminalizing drugs, to tell you the truth I do no understand drug consumers, I´m a veterinarian and have legal access to some really interesting stuff ( at animal concentration which may be two or three times more potent ) and never had the interest of trying them on me.

We (Portugal) survived it without us all turning into junkies XD To be honest I didn't even know about drugs being decriminalised until I read about it here a few years ago.
@Gamerno6666: what about making feminists a radical organisation?
...... I wouldn't wanna touch that with a 50 foot pole.
@dylandr:
Yeah there are countries where it's outright illegal or restricted. But the problem is that rich people can still move their money to countries where it's legal and just make more money off interest, thus increasing the already absurd wealth gap. This is why 1% own nearly half the global wealth. And there are organizations that look the other way because there's too much money to be made off the backs of the poor, and I'm not just talking about pawn brokers. Major churches also look the other way.
make colleges ad universities free
or banned alcohol (beer) from being sold in super markets and from being advertised on tv
@dylandr: The Purge. I wouldn't kill anyone, but for my protection I would pay a lot of coin to hire some "thugs" to have me protected as I walk out in the streets. I would go to my nearest Aston Martin or Lamborghini dealer and with my new friends I'd take one of each vehicles home. Remember everything is legal for that one night so instead of taking lives, I'd take things that'd make my life better. If anyone tried to get in my way, well I wouldn't get my hands dirty.
@Gaming-Planet: You're 15 aren't you? Actually no, asking that question can get me into trouble lel.
@plageus900:
Animals are people too.
So it's okay for other animals to eat animals....we just can't eat them. Awesome logic.
I would make taking my income illegal, flat rate or service taxes only. You buy more, you pay more. Everyone then pays their fair share since the rich will be buying yachts and ferraris and the poor won't.
Hell, you would even get revenue from crack dealers and tourists when they buy goods in America.
