How to find out how many pins my processor has

i am soon getting a processor and their are a lot of the same type just different socket size. so i want to know if theirs a different way of cheking how many pins there are on a processor with out actualy looking at it inside the pc it self.

oh and out of randomness can you post your specs of ur computer plzzzz.....

these are mine so far

cpu-intel celeron 1.3ghz plus the 400mhz that my video card provids

video card-ati radeon 9000 256mb

RAM- 512mb plus i am using 3gb of ebooster on my secondary hard drive.

operating system- wndows xp pro.

at 1.3ghz it probably uses the old 478 socket, good luck finding one of those.

probably not worth the upgrade even if your board supports it. definatly not worth it if your going to try to play games on it, especially not with a radeon 9000 which is about 6 or 7 years old.

time to look at the hardware forums those people know a lot better then off topic people, unless they also post on off topic. post this at hardware more replys will show up.

Find out the model of your motherboard and you can find out what the pinset is from that.

You need a lot more than new CPU and Mobo if you plan on playing any decent games. If you dont know how to see what processor you have i suggest not to try and make a computer by yourself.
