never heard of anyone called it "me-me", only older people who dont know what it is and the read the word for the first time. Everyone by know tho knows its "meem" (meme), like 4 years ago its was new to people, but now everyone knows what memes are so everyone pronounces it meem.
You keep saying "Spanish", so im guessing you live in a spanish speaking country and the people around you are people like you who their first language (or most likely their only language is spanish) and are reading/using English words, but there isnt anyone there to tell them how to say them right.
I seen alot of none english speaking latinos just read english words as they would read them in the spanish format - Wifi read as Wee fee, Gif read as Hif (in spanish the "G" goes soft if its followed by "e" or "i", sounding like "H". Example: Giraffe, spelled "Giraffa" in spanish is pronounce "Hiraffa" )
.
I have never, in my life heard someone say "wee-fee" for wi-fi.
i have but its from non-english speakers who are unaware that its supposed to be wifi. Never heard an english speake called it weefee tho, same for meme

Nengo what are you talking about? Didn't you say a while back you were Puerto Rican? I live in PR. Anyways.
As far as the "meme" thing goes, thinking about it, in Spanish it is "me-me" so like I totally keep it in that pronunciation in my consciousness when thinking in English. But I could have sworn every single time I heard it before it was pronounced "me-me" which is why I was so surprise when Jalen Rose said "meem".
Now, I watch something like 99% English speaking stuff (mostly radio in Spanish) so the possibility of me seldomly hearing the pronunciation "meem" are incredibly low. Now, you could characterize my TV viewing habits perhaps skewing toward the traditional:
I find this fascinating. I will try to make a mental note of every time someones says "me-me" or "meem".

yeah............. ?
And since i am Puerto Rican i know first hand that Puerto Ricans in PR, although exposed to the enlish language and american culture often, also ten to use english words wrong or say them wrong. Sometimes we pronounced them right, sometimes we butchered the shit out of them cuz we dont all know actual english.
People from south america tho (who are less exposed to english and american stuff)... the tent to take/read every enlgish word literally in a spanish format (which comes out very wrong).
Wow, I never knew people didn't know how to pronounce the word "meme." Haha, that's kind of sad. I wonder how they pronounce "gene."
Genie? =P

where did you get "Kay-sh" from?
I understand some people saying "cash" and what most people say "cashay", but Kay-sh?
@elkoldo: I'm sure there is, if you ask the creators of the words. Like for Gif, the creator said it's pronounced Jif.
یه ایرانیه دیگه ؟! نه؟
Honestly man, I'm not persian. But yea, I get what you mean.
The way you referred meme to Ù… made me almost certain that you were Iranian. Anyway, you do understand Farsi.
Just a few words, my mother tongue is basically Urdu which is a mash up of Farsi, Arabic, Sanskrit or you name it.

You're asking for the impossible...I don't even know who created most of these stuff...let alone finding and asking them "Hey Mr.I-don't-know-who , would you kindly tell me the correct pronunciation of your weird word ?"

Dah-ta (every so often, my Australian accent wins out)
Why-fy (it's short for wireless fidelity, isn't it?)
Linnux
Kaysh (that's the official dictionary way of pronouncing it in Australia - but only when the word is used in the context of computers
