How Do You Fair In School Presenation? Part 2

Months ago i asked this question and got many response. I asked this question again cause i just finished giving another presention and lets just say public speaking is stil not my strongest skill. I got a 23/30 which if my correct is about a 73% which normaly i will accept that but if im going into the business world i have STEP MY GAME up in that department.

So how do u fair

When others are presenting do u fall asleep and asked questions at the end of their presentation.

I am quite bad a public speaking because I get so nervous.

ALWAYS another embarassing event in my life. If I could, I would try to avoid them at all costs but NO this embarassment is LAW!!! :evil:

A few weeks ago, I gave a speech in front of 650 students as part of my cIass presidential campaign. I literally had to delay my speech for about two or three minutes due to the thunderous applause. It was like Conan's first night on the Tonight Show, no lies. I was shaking before I got up, but the applause got me more comfortable. Then I just delivered my speech and screwed up in more than a few places.

I lost the election to the preppy guy. :?

I never had problems if it was a group presentation. For individual ones, I'd be nervous at the start, but I'd get past it quickly. If you're not confined to a podium, it helps to walk around in the space available, as this helps you concentrate on what you're doing and forget the nerves. Don't pace though; make it appropriate to your speaking, or move to be closer to different parts of the audience paragraph by paragraph. If you have to be at a podium, use hand gestures.

I'm horrible at it. My presentations are boring and uncreative because I don't know **** about Powerpoint. My speech is awkward even though I'm never nervous (really, I don't get nervous when I have to speak publicly. I'm just awkward).

I got an A in my Speech 101 class and I usually get As and Bs on any other type of presentations, but I don't really like doing them. That said, I think the anxiety leading up to a presentation is much worse than when I'm actually up there.

i am not a shy person but when i have to speek i get very nervous and shy. i really don't know why.

Not to brag but I'm a pretty badass public speaker. Its a gift really because I know that not everyone is comfortable with it. I guess having a silver tongue helps as well :P

I'm always super nervous before I start, but once I get into it, it's not too bad. I've found that as long as you can get yourself to really care about what you're talking about, it's pretty easy to get yourself to be animated and interesting while giving the talk.

People always loved my speeches. Its hard to keep them entertained though, especially since you're not supposed to be crazy with your hands or yell at them
