How do you become good at delaying gratification ?

I unfortunately can neither delay gratification or pay attention to things that don't interest me. Does anyone hear have any tips on how to fix that ?

Usually most risk-reward and cost benefit analysis put delayed gratification over instant gratification. Just gotta look at situations logically and objectively and KNOW that you will come out ahead if you go with most delayed gratification scenarios.

Just do the important things you don't want to do first (ie homework, clean, and such) and as a reward do what you want afterwards.

But don't do what you want to do UNTIL you do the important, grating tasks first.
