Where did this come from all of a sudden? Are you guys interested? I don't really care for the games and the movie looks really over the top but I might actually watch it.

What the hell is this?
Is Michael Bay directing this?
WTF?
Once again this is nothing, nothing like the games.(absolution doesn't count cause it's shit)
I got to admit, that look really fucking awesome. I came late to the Hitman games and Absolution was my first Hitman game and I also like the last movie but I didn't know there was going to be another movie so it peak my interest.
I think I deleted that movie from my brain. Didn't even remember it existed but now that you've mentioned it I remember watching it, even though I remember nothing from it.
Looks good, I've been a fan of the series for a long time. He seems a bit to violent to represent my own style of how I play as Mr 47, but because the games are so open and gives you plenty of ways to approach a target I don't think that there's a "correct way" to portray him other than that he is the kind of guy who always finishes his jobs no matter what.
So I actually watched the trailer and I almost stopped half-way through. This looks to be truly awful. Now my wish for Uwe Boll isn't a joke, as much as the truth, I'm really curious what's so titillating about Hitman for Hollywood. Not a particularly popular game franchise, nor does it have a storyline particularly suited for a movie.
Basically a bald Peter Quinn...
OK really, it seems a bit over the top (kicking the table with the rifle and lifting his hand in a split second on the exact spot where the bullet will hit the chain?) but I might give it a try because I'm not a huge hitman fan so this wont interfere with anything.
But really that actor (Dont know his name, I know he is Quinn from homeland), as much as I like him, he really doesnt reminds me of 47 at all.

The first one actually came out back in 2007, I didn't go see it when it hit theaters on November, I own the DVD. Did you know that at first, while the first one was a financial success, a sequel was canceled during the production but now, this is technically a reboot on Hitman: Agent 47.
Since you deleted the first one from your brain, this trailer should help you remember.
The back story is the weakest part of the hitman franchise, which is why a movie will never work. I'm just surprised Square Enix isn't releasing a half assed cookie cutter to go with the movie.
Agent 47- The idea is there, but the lack of run and gun, and mostly linear levels, made it mediocre at best.
Silent Assasine- Loved this game, even as late as 2010 I was playing it.
Contracts- Garbage.
Blood money- Their best effort, would have liked more levels, even releasing a series of expansions would have been great.
Absolution- Instead of building off Hitman 2 and blood money, they destroy everything and make a generic piece of crap.
Looks better than the previous Hitman movie. But the truth is movies based on video games/games based on movies don't really turn out that well.
Not all of them are bad. Mortal Kombat is still consider the best video game adaption movie to date and it did a good job, love that movie even today's standards. Max Payne was good despite it didn't follow the first or second game formula but it was entertaining so can't complain.
Seems like it could be entertaining if you went into it with the right expectations (popcorn flick with little relation to the games). Granted I said the same thing about the Max Payne movie and well know how that turned out...

Yeah I guess the first mortal kombat movie was good.
@lightleggy: Rupert Friend is the actor's name.
Thank you, I actually really like this actor so I hope the movie is good enough not to taint his reputation.

Citation needed.
I dont remember much of the MK movie (Asides it being garbage), but I sure as hell know nobody ever goes around saying "its the best video game movie adaption ever!"
Max Payne was also extremely shitty, it didnt payed the character any justice, only thing they got right was Wahlberg because of his resemblance to Max (its a shame he doesnt got a gruff voice like Max).
Imo the most decent VG films were Prince of Persia and the 1st tomb raider. (I'm not saying it as a universal truth, just giving my opinion).
