If I look up an HDTV and it says "full HD 1080p LCD HDTV" does it still me it can use other resolutions? (like 720i, 720p and 1080i)

Yeah, for example, if you have your Xbox 360 in 720p, the TV would change it's resolution to 720p. It depends what the signal the TV recieves. My HDTV goes up to 1080i, when I play my Wii on it, it downscales to 480p
