Has anyone thought about how messed up the game Hangman is?

I mean, since kids we've been playing a game where if we can't guess the letters of a word we draw a corpse being hung on a rope. It's weird lol.

I'm ok with anything unless they see a female nipple!

It reminds me a lot of that Frankenstein fella, always buildin' them corpse people.

It was a tradition in Texas up until the 1970s, and they only stopped cuz the supreme court got all butt hurt.

It is kind of morbid.

Then again, I think a game of Lethal Injection or Electric Chair would probably be looked at even worse.

I actually remember an activity we had at church where we planned a bunch of games and activities for the youngsters who attended. They banned the "hangman" game because some of the kids were actually thinking about/had attempted suicide so we didn't want to give them any ideas.

I play it differently with my students. The man slowly descends into a tank of sharks instead. Much more vivid.
