Not sure if this was talked about before but Google and Samsung have teamed up to produce 2 notebooks (Chromebook), and a desktop computer (Chromebox).

They are cloud computing machines and very low cost $250, $450, $350.

It runs Google Chrome OS or Chromium OS, a cloud computing linux based system OS that runs web based Applications. Its also open-source, like most linux products.

Heres some links to them.

Why you buy it? Are you open to the idea of cloud computing?

A solely based cloud computing device is bound to fail.

certainly not. I don't have access to the internet at all times and thus wouldn't really have access to the computer I just bought either.

It actually looks pretty interesting to me. I just wonder how many programs would be compatible with it.

I think they've been and gone already, never really took off as people prefer iPads and smartphones for such tasks.
