I listen to psychedelic rock, which imitates the hallucinating effects of drugs....so yeah I feel high when I listen to the sounds sometimes. I also feel like I'm entering a trance while listening to it...its amazing. :o

it's called binaural noise. you play 1 tone in 41khz and another in 40kgz (41 is the norm for music though) and the difference (if used right) can actually cause you to 'trip out'

only album ive got that uses it is Constant Shallowness Leads to Evil by a band called Coil (that no-one on here will've heard of) and it's full of 2 tone distorted sine waves. though saying that sine waves can also induce an altered state at high frequences. etc

The song "Bacdrifts" by Radiohead is like that, as well as the song "How Will We Know? (Futuristic Crashendos)" by The Flaming Lips, they even put a warning inside the album booklet not to listen to that song while driving or operating machinery

I know it has some effect, but there were stupid kids posting as if they are drunk in it after listening to idoser. It was embarrassing.

the band Coil (that i mentioned earlier) did an album called time machines where they had 4 tracks based on different natural halloucinogens kinda like how i-doser has, though Coil sounds nothing like i-doser though.

EDIT: thing is, once the sound goes away, the effect goes away. so anyone saying that something is happening AFTER they've stopped listening to it is lying. and it's not an instinatious effect anyway, it takes time to build up and nothing may ever happen. the same goes for dreamachines (check them out on wiki), which are safe halloucination inducing machines that use flickering lights to effect the alpha regions of the brain (the place where dreams're made). once you take yourself out of the situation the effect goes away...
anyway im done for the night, it's after 4am over in uk land and ive been awake for 2days (sleep deprivation is another way to trip, if you're into it).
night all

Yeah, I've heard of Coil.  Good stuff.  On an unrelated note, occasionally I will be listening to music and will think that someone else in the same room said something to me, but they really didn't.

It works as long as you smoke marijuana before playing the music.

That won't work, what might work is playing a 7.83 Hz tone at about 140 decibles might. It's the same frequency as a Delta brain wave, associated with coma patients, those in deep sleep, and those how have lucid dreams.
