Gamer- The Movie

Well, who's excited? I am. A quick synopsis...

Set in the near-future, mind-control technology has taken society by storm and a multiplayer on-line game called "Slayers" allows humans control other humans in mass-scale. Simoncontrols Kable (Gerard ****ing Butler, guys.), the on-line champion of the game, and with his every move tracked by millions, his ultimate challenge becomes regaining his identity and independence by defeating the game's mastermind (The dude from Dexter.) through launching an attack on the system that has imprisoned him.

The movie's got a Death-Race kind of vibe, and it looks like it could prove to be a fun movie. Thoughts?

Sounds kind of familiar. Not sure why, but I seem to remember another Sci-Fi movie / book that involved somethng like this. Can't remember.

I was expecting a Judd Apatow film about an actual gamer. Not sure the title is at all related to the film.Denion

just by looking at that pic..i can simply smell a lame amorously relationship between male character and his female partner which most likely will ruin the the entire idea.

I dunno. Looks like a run of the mill action movie to me, kicking plot out the window to make way for eye candy. I feel like I got the jist of the whole movie just by watch the trailer

I dont think it looks good, it seems like another crappy action film like The Condemned. But hey it has Michael C. Hall

This reminds me of the movie Avalon. lol.
