In a lot of vampire movies, there is always some talk about using blessed weapons or flash burn to kill vampires yet the vampires in these movies still tries to avoid explosions and other things that are not blessed which doesn't make sense.

Examples

Underworld Evolution - This has got to be the dumbest way for a vampire LORD to die(spoiler) ---? he got killed by the spinning fans of a helicopter..... doesn't make sense considering hes a vampire nevermind a vampire lord. It shouldn't had been able to kill him.

Underworld awakening -- The ancient vampire selana has to shoot a hole through the falling elevator to avoid being crushed....really? why would a vampire be afraid of a falling elevator? lol

If i was a vampire i wouldn't bother avoiding explosions or anything unless its blessed or effected with flash burn cause i know im an vampire and only those things SHOULD be able to kill me.

vampires don't exist so movies can make up any rules they want with them.

Sorry, 30 Days of Night is the only vampire movie that comes close to how Vampires really are.

Vampires depending on who's writting them are essentially immortal humans that thrive on blood to sustain themselves.

The vampires you seem to be thinking of are the demonic version where they can only be harmed by blessed object, which the Underworld Vampires are not.

The flaws you mentioned are not flaws, since the Underworld universe explained in the very first movie that they are immortal do to a genetic virus from the Covinus clan and are capable of dying by conventional means(like how Viktor got his face cut or the numerous Vampires killed by the Lycans on the train scene).

I love the series, so yeah - try to find better "flaws".

All I ask of a Vampire movie are 3 things:

1) They drink blood.

2) They're undead.

3) Sunlight hurts them.

If a movie doesn't break any of these 3 then I don't care how they portray vampires.

PS. The Underworld movies suck.

Part 1 and 3 are great, to me.

Never seen the fourth and don't want to see the second ever again.

The biggest flaw in many vampire movies: Emeril doesn't pop up, yell bam! and kill the vampires by tossing garlic at them.

Well I guess vampires are afraid to mess with the Swiss Guard.

Soldier: I will kill you

Vampire: What are your qualifications?

Soldier: I am Spetsnaz

Vampire: Spetsnaz, big deal, I only fear the Pontifical Swiss Guard

Soldier: idiot, the Patriach or Moscow blessed my combat knife

Vampire: oh crap! (runs away).

Speaking of 3, did you see that part in blade trinity where the three vampires are wearing suits that protect them from the sun and one vampire (played by Triple H) flips off the sun.

I thought the sun blocking tactical suits were the one interesting thing in all the Blade movies. People being born vampires and the concept of a vampire gene (remember the vampire pomeranian) not so much.

lol. I was looking up blade trinity on youtube to try to find a video of Triple H flipping off the sun, I couldn't find it but I did see a video that showed the pomeranian. If not for that video I would've forgotten about the pomeranian (it's been year's since I've seen the movie).

That's why you pay attention to Buffy herself instead of the actual plot (except during season 3 which is god tier).

I think John Carpenter's Vampires sticks pretty close to the whole vampire myth.

I know what you mean. I was just watching this movie with sexy cave women in which one tribe had a problem where increasingly people were being born with blonde hair. They attempted to sacrifice them to the sun god, but the moon formed anyways creating all sorts of catastrophic weather which they attributed to the fact that one of the sacrifices had recently escaped. They desperately attempted to hunt her down, but often ran into random dinosaurs such as cave dwelling Chasmosaur, small plane-sized rhamphorhynchus, and things became really complicated when a large unknown species of lizard mistakes the escaped woman for its young and protects and takes care of her until she can become reunited with her boyfriend. But what really takes the cake is when the water recedes due to an oncoming tsunami which releases a couple of cow-sized crabs that immediately begin chasing down and killing the shore-side dwelling cavemen one after the other. I mean if there's one thing I know is that once a grab gets a source of protein in his claw there is no way it's going to let go of it even if it results in its death. What they hell do they take me for with their full-bellied rampaging crabs?

my advice is to not start pulling strings.

almost all of the most loved movies have stupid senseless plot holes.

luke flys to dagobah and is a jedi in like 17 hours?

harry potter has time travel and never uses it?

everything about back to the future?

once you start pulling strings where do you stop? just watch the damn movie and relax.
