First few days of Trump's presidency

In the first few days of his presidency, President Trump has signed executive orders to ease the financial burden of the ACA, withdraw from TPP, and defund Planned Parenthood.

I'm impressed so far, what are you guys thinking?

Ease of burden for ACA is vague, hard to tell what will actually happen.

Withdrawing from TPP is making good on a campaign promise.

Defunding PP is a decision made out of total ignorance, just pandering to his stupid base that doesn't know what they're doing or what they're talking about

his tantrum about crowd sizes was entertaining and conway spawned an entirely new genre of facts so that was something.

also, for a GOP that has been harping on the overuse of executive power for the last 8 years, he seems awfully eager to pick up that pen.....

He did some okay things(defunding PP is not one of them), but his administration has not been that great so far. He keeps on posting rants on twitter complaining about certain things, acted non-presidential at CIA headquarters over the weekend, his press secretary had a pretty terrible press conference on saturday even though the one held today was better then that one. He also screwed over people looking to buy a home with some new excutive action.

I'm definitely not impressed by a guy who's first actions are steps that make it more difficult for people to get healthcare.

Hmnmm.....make healthcare more difficult......screw the housing market.....lie about inauguration attendance....froze federal hiring projected to cost us more money.......yeah no. Not impressed.

You know, he didn't do much that directly benefited me either.

• I didn't loose my job durring the recession
• My employer provides health insurance
• I don't have a pre-existing condition
• I didn't have a home loan that went underwater
• I'm not paying off school debt
• My job already offers time and a half for overtime hours
• I'm not a homosexual in the military
• also not a vet

Thing is, I didn't really need much help the past 8 years. But for anyone who falls under one of the above categories, I'm glad Obama was there for them.

Obama did also bought UBL to justice. Regardless of how you personally think that should have been handled (whether it was better to kill or capture), it was Obama's call (a fairly gutsy one IMO since it meant effectively invading Pakistan) and it demonstrated to the rest of the world that America didn't let that crime go unanswered.

Wasn't peaceful, and yes. Everyone involved with that little ladywalk stunt made this happen. If they did something sensible and directed themselves in a mature way then something could have happened.

Instead they decided to have a ladywalk against the only person who could have helped them.

In the real world you go with the second bunch, you do things that they like.

It's not like Planned Parenthood was safe to begin with. It was a hot button topic and instead of those that favor it trying to make a case they singled themselves out and said "every single person here hates Trump and we want Planned Parenthood!"

Everyone in the ladywalk is going to be really upset when the Supreme Court gets new justices and overturns Roe vs Wade. Maybe they should have acted right.

The repeal of planned parenthood will result in far more abortions and unplanned pregnancies, the opposite of what he says he and his party want. It will also result in far less women getting affordable breast and cervical cancer screenings, which will kill more. He is going to **** this country up something awful for at least the next two years.

We are in a post truth era, none of this shit matters to the administration. They don't care about consequences and what happens after the pen is signed, another example being moving Israel's embassy to Jerusalem. The days of fact-based policy making are over.

The leaving the UN thing is insane to me. For man solely concerned with power, it seems odd he would give up one of his biggest instruments of power. This game of Let's Pretend they are playing is going to cause the downfall of America to be hastened. We are already barreling over a cliff, financially especially, and his plan is to throw more coal into the engine. It's insane to me, and the people hurt most by this will be the poor people he tricked into supporting him, who will vote against their interests again, and be screwed even more.

Trump made it clear was going to go after Planned Parenthood a long time ago, "ladywalk" or not. The whole point of the marches were to show that a lot of people are upset about it. And seeing as Trump has been having some of his twitter tantrums about the march, he noticed.
