So, what do you guys think? IMO Brazil and Argentina have the easiest groups.

I think Mexico can draw against Brazil and win the 2 others as their best case scenario.

Not too sure about that. They could win against the other 2, but Brazil will probably still win from then. Not that it really matters, as they would still advance in this scenario.

My country(Greece) is in a pretty good group. No obvious favorites which increases our chances to qualify. I can't wait for the summer!

Why?

The US is boned.

Germany is Germany.
Ghana is always a really tough opponent for the US.
Portugal's not as strong as Germany but still better than the US.

I wouldn't be surprised if the US lost against all three of them.

Yeah it looks pretty grim for the US. What sucks is this is probably the last World Cup for Dempsey, Howard, and Donovan. Hopefully the US has some young players in the next generation that can fill those shoes. Depth has been somewhat a problem.

LOL the US and England are gonna get fvcked HARD. RIP in peace, good night sweet prince, etc. etc.

I'm glad we (Bosnia) got mad lucky and drew a relatively easy group. Have a great chance of making it to the knockout stage.

Ah ok. It seems the only opponent you'll almost certainly lose to is Argentina, the rest can go either way.

@deeliman: definitely. I'll be content with a win, a draw, and a loss. Couldn't have drawn a better group unless it was like Switzerland instead of Argentina.

For my country (The Netherlands), I'd be content with a draw, a win and a win. It'll probably be a draw against Spain, since neither if us can really afford to lose that match so it'll probably be a defensive game. As for the other 2 countries, we should be able to win against them.

Haven't being paying attention to European qualifiers. But how the hell did Switzerland get seeded, but not Netherlands?

FIFA's rankings are stupid and make no sense. Switzerland are rated 8 in the world and Holland are 9th. Switzerland was seeded because of that.

We should take bets on how many goals CR7 will score against the US.

I'm thinking 4 or 5...............in the first half

You shouldn't really use those rankings to determine which team is better.

ugh. the US gets a group and the worst travel schedule. i wasn't expecting them to win the cup or anything, but getting into the knockout round would have been nice.

even worse is that brazil got such an easy group. neymar is going to be diving for so long.

I disagree.Colombia is a pretty strong team with amazing talents upfront, and the ivory coast has some pretty decent players.

Japan also is a pretty fast team, and we always have trouble against fast teams(remember south korea in 2010?).

There were much better groups for us.I am optimistic though. If we draw against colombia and win the ivory coast we should be able to qualify.

Yeah we won't have necessarily an easy time. I think it's good that we avoided the traditional football powers though like Brazil, Argentina etc. Now even first place is open to all four teams. If we play to the best of our abilities I'm optimistic about 1st or 2nd place in our group.

Australia is the most screwed LMAO.

SPAIN!!!

Netherlands!!!!

Chile.. lol RIP Australia T_T

Also Colombia will easily dominate their squad which is good to see. Falcao is a great captain who has guided his team well.

Yup we're screwed, have the Aussies even drawn against Chile? That's the best option we have.

Well, most of us don't. But we do have a quite large immigrant population (esp. Hispanics) who obviously are huge fans. I've personally always had an appreciation for it.
