I was curious to see what obscure bands some of you listen to. One of my personal favorite locals bands is this one from Philly, PA.

Fat City Reprise performing "You're Fired"

Ignore the distorted acoustic guitar :P. They play a Tuesday night acoustic show every week where the rules are that they can bring their bass and drums, but the guitars have to be acoustic. They bend this rule by plugging the acoustic into a distortion pedal XD.

But yeah, these guys kick ass like no other. Their song "Cowgirl" has been getting a ton of airtime on 93.3 WMMR, Philly's biggest rock music station. Definitely check them out on MySpace.

My friend Joe plays trombone in a local ska band formerly known as Same Old Stuff (They had to come up with a name on the spot to get into a battle of the bands :P )

The pics are from their last show (which included a syrup chugging contest  )

They broke up for a while when the drummer joined the coast guard, and the trumpet and sax players went away for college, but the drummer is back now, so they're trying to get back together (and thankfully, they're going to change their name.) I think they're still looking for new trumpet, and sax players.

They're easilly my favorite local band...the other ones I've heard suck...badly :?

My fav local band is called 99 MPH. Haven't seen them in a while; I wouldn't mind seeing them soon again though.

I dont care about the local scene in Columbus there isno one local group I can think of. Anyhow as for unknown bands, I have been playing a group called Prong lately as well as Daft Punk, but a lot of people know Daft Punk.
