Simple question.

Granted I haven't heard a hole lot of things from each decade before the 80s, but bare with me.

I'll start:

50s: Miles Davis - Kind of Blue

60s: King Crimson - In the Court of the Crimson King

70s: Joy Division - Unknown Pleasures

80s: Talking Heads - Remain in Light

90s: Radiohead - OK Computer

00s: Converge - Jane Doe

10s(Very early, but so far, my pick would be...): Swans - The Seer(Though Deftones' Koi No Yokan and GY!BE's Allelluyah! Don't Bend! Ascend! may take it down after a few more listens)

I am surprised that someone else here knows who Bruce Hornsby is. He is from not far from where I grew up and just a few years older than I am. I even went to high school with one of his cousins. I still haven't seen him in concert though. Maybe one day.

60's - Abbey Road - The Beatles

70's - Wish You Were Here - Pink Floyd

80's - The Queen is Dead - The Smiths

90's - OK Computer - Radiohead

00's - Funeral - Arcade Fire

I like Bruce Hornsby early albums. Good music. It's got that rural feel to it without feeling like I'm listening to country music. In fact, I'm listening to The Valley Road right now.

You probably would like some of Robbin Thompson's stuff then. He went to VCU and has some stuff out that I had always liked like Brite Eyes and Sweet Virginia Breeze. Kind of reminds me of Jimmy Buffet in a way.

Actually, I have a CD from the 2000's. I guess it's my favorite for that decade by default:

I started listening to psytrance after I found out it's the only music that can keep me awake at night while driving.
