Facebook spam, I don't get it

I've never registered to Facebook or any other social networking site, but I keep getting E-mail from Facebook saying $hit like "MY NAME you have eleven friend requests and three messages."

Not sure how they got my E-mail with my name attached to it, but what really confuses me is how I can have friend requests and messages for a site I'm not even registered to? How do you send a friend request or a message to an account that does not exist?

Or has Facebook taken the privelege of setting up accounts for fvcking everyone and just wait for them to claim it?

Wouldn't surprise me if they did, Facebook rules over all of us and everything, we must all bow down to Facebook and all companies and their web sites must be like Facebook.

What gets me is I don't use my real name on the net unless I'm using a credit card, and there's very, very few sites I'll pull that out for (mostly PC hardware sites like Tigerdirect and then of course Steam).

I'm not even registered to this site under my real name. So how did they get my real name, and how did they associate it with my E-mail (which doesn't include my name)?

I get messages like that all the time but not from facebook, I get them from a "similar" site called 'F*ckbook" where all the chicks live in my area and dig me.

Sounds like a fake FB message. Been on facebook for years, I don't get emails from them

The link most certainly goes to FB account signup, I whois'ed the IP address and everything. It seems like a legit mailing.

Dunno, that's weird.

Once I deleted my account I never got any further email notifications. Odd that you would receive any without ever signing up.

Yeah, I know. I'm not so concerned about the spam as I am how they got my information. But it's most def from FB.
