Eyes hurt after putting on halloween mask, wtf??

I put on my halloween mask only for a minute and then 30 minutes later both of my eyes started hurting. Can halloween masks do damage to your eyes or something?

If a mask is too tight you can put pressure on sinuses, veins, etc. All of which can give you eye and headaches.

If you put on a mask once Halloween's over it melts your optic nerves away.

There is no strap, it goes all the way around your head. It felt like it wouldn't fit that good though.
