The speakers in question are a set of Logitech Z2300 that I have had for around 7 years, they work great when plugged into my TV (as I used them for the past couple of days) but they are primarily my PC speakers.

Yesterday and today I have been experiencing audio quitting after a couple of minutes (10-15) but only through my speakers when I unplug my speakers the sound comes back through the monitors just fine.

All I can figures is maybe my mobo audio input jack is failing (which wouldn't be too surprising because every mobo I get has an issue, so the audio jack could go with the USB issues)

As crazy as it sounds to say this about any technology, but speakers should last longer than seven years if they are well taken care of as they are probably the best example we have of technology that is built to last.

It sounds like you have a bad pair of speakers.

No the speakers work. They work when plugged into my laptop and my TV, it is just after they are plugged into my PC for about 10-15 minutes they cut out

Motherboard component failure is entirely possible, but this information is simply not enough to go off of. You'd need to run some diagnostics in the computer in order to verify. Otherwise you're just guessing.

Check your sound card for any burnt out pieces. ;)

No popping/clicking after about 10 minutes the speakers just stop putting out sound but if I unplug them the sound come through the monitor

I don't have a sound card, the speakers are being plugged directly into the mother board
