Ever fallen off the top bunk on a bunkbed before?

I remember when I was little I fell off the top bunk head first. I mean, I went completely head first. The top of my head hit the floor and then my body just slumped. I didn't cry or anything; I was just a little shocked and got a big headache, LOL. My feet knocked a few things off a nightstand next to the bed, but other than that, everything was okay minus the headache. Now that I'm thinking about it, I'm lucky I went full head first rather than at an angle; I might have broken my neck otherwise.

Oh, BTW, this all happened when I was awake, not sleeping.

When I was a kid, had 2 different bunk beds over time and it was always a game to jump or flop off the top onto either a beat-up old mattress (which very well could have afforded you a spring in the eye if you landed wrong) or a (thin) pile of bedding on the floor.


I'm lucky I didn't snap my neck. I'm sure I fell off by accident before, but I fell/leaped on purpose so many times it's a miracle I didn't get hurt.

In the military during basic training I got stuck with the top bunk. Fell out during the night and woke up on the floor.

Nope but my niece one day decided to bounce on the top bunk, lost balance and landed on her head and couldn't feel her legs for a few minutes...scared the crap out of us...
