Even if God exists...

Let's pretend that God (or Gods) does in fact exist... then why exactly does he have to be the Abrahamic God? A god that cares for human beings. Allah, Krishna, God... They all apply.

For all we know our creator might have been a horeshoe and doesn't really care what we do for it.

That's a good question.

Personally i'm SURE there are spirits,higher beings,and all that.

And i'm sure not all of them are of the same nature.

They exist in different dimensions/densities/planes,and they are hard to reach through conventional means.

He's not an abrahamic God (At least I don't think so) I think Abraham was just the first to believe in him. He is God of all people.

Why would anyone believe in an all knowing God when that very notion implies Him knowing if you will go to Heaven or hell..And then in spite of Him knowing that proceeds to punish people for ETERNITY for something He knew they would do in the first place..This is the very definition of a psycho God...If you're going to believe in a God at least have enough sense to believe in a cool one...Failing that, make up your own cool God..Chances are you will be closer to the truth

Because, being the wild-card that he is (being attributed with any feature that suits the person that makes him/her/it up), also serves to fill the void of occasional loneliness and the need for guidance.

Because God and whatever his existense entails doesnt only fill gaps of knowledge but is also in tune with the human psyche. We want whatever is "above" us to be sth/sb relatable to at least a degree. Otherwise we dont have a basis to start off in order to try to understand him/her/it. So, to me, that also shows how we humans are curious about those things. God, involves a lot of imagination which is just a shortcut for the human curiosity. Thats my take which may or may not change in the future.
