Still sad that people have to declare their sexuality like this as a means of support to those who hide it due to fear of how they will be treated when they do it themselves. Shouldn't be a big deal, but still definitely is. Mad respect to her! Also, her whole speech was pretty great:

Might. Hopefully. Only 50ish years ago we still had separate toilets for black people. Most people's parents here probably grew up in the midst of this change. I think it's feasible to believe in 30 years that sexualities and gender identities of all kinds will be accepted as normal and not be something that will need announcing, for personal reasons or for the support of others.

Nobody but the deeply racist who have had discrimination passed onto them as they grew up actually refuse to use the same _____ as black people these days for fear of 'different germs' or whatever. This too shall pass.
