Low levels of radiation have been detected in rain water samples taken in Massachusettes. While not near dangerous at this point, it's still amazing to think how easy it is for radiation to reach the US.

At what point do we end up with acid rain?

Somewhere between now and 50 years ago.

Acid rain is formed when other chemicals or materials, such as sulfur dioxide, mix with the rain to lower the pH level. I haven't heard of radiation being a cause of acid rain.

Acid rain isn't caused by radiation, it is more a biproduct of polution.
