Does watching Dane Cook make you feel stupid?

I tried to watch 2 minutes of his stand up (on Comedy Central right now) and could almost feel my IQ dropping, not unlike that one time I tried to watch Mind of Mencia

Yes he does. I turned it on just now because a friend of mine was like "Turn on Dane Cook so we can not laugh together!"

I turned it on, I didn't laugh, I'm now feeling my brain cells deteriorate.

No, it actually makes me feel very smart seeing as I have the brains not to laugh at this rubbish.

I wouldn't know...I dont watch Dane Cook. I heard a minute or two of his standup album, and didn't care for it.

He has to be the most boring comedian I've ever seen. It's almost embarassing to watch. He's just not funny to me.

I used to think he was funny back when I was a sophomore in high school. Since then I've grown up and recognized that George Carlin is infinitely superior to Dane Cook--dead or alive.

I used to think he was pretty average I laughed at some of his stuff but watching Isolated Incident hes actually pretty funny.

No he isn't. There are much worse out there. Carrot Top and Gallagher for example are utterly embarrassing.

I'm a fan of Dane Cook. I'm sure there are tons of people who dislike his comedy, but I'm guessing some just hate him to jump on the bandwagon of those who do, without really even being familiar with him.

No. Some of his earlier stuff was actually funny, though now, he tries to get his jokes across by the exaggeration and the delivery style. And, while both are essential to be a good comedian (in my eyes anyway), his actual jokes just aren't funny. LZ71
