Does the Russian war have anything to do with Nostradamus' prediction of WWIII?

I read the e-book a little while ago and from what I remember, this "small" war is followed by the takeover of the Russian Catholic Church and assassination of the Pope. This is stated in his book and not my opinion. Also, I do not wish to offend anyone or their beliefs.

Tell me if I am wrong. Also, What do you guys think?

I am going to point out all that is wrong with your message:

1: Russia hasn;t started anything - there was a Georgian uprising in the formerly Georgian provinces of South Ossetia and Abkhazia - Russia has merely moved to stop this rebellion.

2: Euro troops are rarely used in anything other than peacekeeping missions, and America is already stretched with current military operations to get involved with something on the scale os Russia

3: Russia has not been a Communist country for a long time.

But this is a minor war, it will be over soon. Georgia might lose, but it will be over soon to be honest. USA can't get involved for one reason and it is that we are already in a war.

I am going to point out all that is wrong with your message:

Actually i belive what nostradamus said was that the river hister will overflow. often most of his predictions have been twisted after an event to better fit what has happened.

Also why would the communist nations run to Russia's aide? They left most of them hanging after the fall of the Soviet Union.

If this conflict is our idea of a world war, we might have to rethink our standards a bit..kingdre

Wars don't happen as often anymore, so whenever a war starts, people think it's a world war because it's so awesome and cool.

Your logic is flawed here. Nostradamus made hundreds, if not thousands of predictions. You only ever hear of the ones that come true, but for every one or two that come true, there are dozens more that don't. History has no, "Magic eight-ball." History is written in unpredictable and surprising ways.

While Nostradamus's predictions may at times seem air-tight, and some may indeed come true, he is not the bases for steering humanity's course through time.

WWIII because Russia invaded Georgia? I don't think so. People probably said the same thing when the U.S. invaded Iraq.
