That was kinda terrifying. A lot of horror movies use things that are associated with goodness as evil beings. For example, little girls and clowns are usually associated with happy things, so it's very effective to use a clown as an evil character because it's the opposite of what clowns ought to be. The Ring wouldn't have been nearly as scary if Samara was an adult.
