Yes or no?

Try to, same old excuses like work and not having time.
I no there not very good excuses, i nornally get the gym once or twice per week at most lately.
However football on wednesdays starts again tomorrow, a night of good exercise and more motivation to go gym more often.
Yes, I work in a hospital, so I see the end result of what happens to people when they don't take care of themselves! Now I'm not saying that everyone in a hospital is there because of neglect, it's obvious that some are there because of accidents and hereditary issues, but high blood pressure and obesity can be individually controlled.
Those two things can lead to massive amounts of other complications. The main thing that keeps me motivated is my general health, not just working out!! Diet, cleansing, rest and mental health are just as important as working out.

*claps*
currently training for a half marathon in a few weeks. i've lost ~15 pounds since may just running 4-5 times a week
i used to.
but nowadays i haven't had the time to even step into a gym. i work all day and after work, i just want to go home and see my family.
^ it doesn't matter if you work out 7 days a week. you won't be able to reach your goal if you aren't discipline when it comes to putting food in your mouth
I think there's this misconception that you need a gym to get fit.
One barbell, pair of dumbbells (both heavy and light), and a pull-up bar are really all you need.
Compound moves (which require zero gym equipment) are better than isolated moves anyway.
That said, I'm starting to get a little more serious with my workouts. I've mostly been slacking off =P

All I use by way of equipment is a punching bag and a pull-up bar. I went to the gym during July and i can't say I really liked it.

I'm jealous, bro.
I want to do some kickboxing now.
I regularly lift weights, cardio is rough right now due to a pretty bad knee injury that I have not gotten checked out. I was running 5 miles 2-4 times per week but with this injury I can barely walk, the exercise bike is pretty much my only cardio option so I do that 2-3 times per week but I never really feel I am getting a great workout like I did when I was running.

Thats a long term goal, maybe within 5 years. The worst part is that i have to eat a lot. 8-12 eggwhites a day, plain grreek yogurt, cottage cheese, fish, and chicken in large quantities. It's hard to eat that much.
@TheHighWind:
dang, thats alot of swimming for 1 day.
you training for something?
Trying to lose weight and just having fun. We have a pool at our house. ( It's Florida )
Yeah, three times a week with weights, mixed in with kickboxing and hiking, I'm up to something everyday.

If you want to lose weight, I highly recommend cutting out sugar and white carbs from your diet. It will facilitate weight loss.
I know this is blunt, but sugar is why people are fat. We get enough from natural foods, so consuming more from soda, cookies, and more is just superfluous.
Then there's white carbs which messes us your insulin.

Nay! =P
Seriously though, Starbucks isn't bad. You can order plain iced tea or plain black coffee and your waistline won't expand. I promise.
The problem is that so many people order frappuccinos (I want to yell "stop, don't do it!" to every customer who orders this, not only because they are time consuming to make, but also because they are disgusting for you) and other sugary drinks. Fraps are the worse because they contain so much sugar, saturated fat, calories, and more carbs compared to, say, a burger.
If presented with the option of eating a fast food burger vs a frappuccino, I would choose the fast food burger every time. Liquid calories are too easy to overdo because you just gulp it down. With a burger you're at least getting protein and other nutrients.

Yeah, the worst part about bulking is the eating.
@indzman: I have an 8 pack...shoved a burger in each one XD I have a flat stomach but don't really have a defined 6-pack anymore since I stopped martial arts.
I'd consider what I do for work exercise. At least the lifting of tarps and securing of loads part.
But I'd like to get off the highway and be a city driver, or work in another department in the company, because I want to get into serious training and power lifting. And hopefully in the long term, surfing.
