There, just saved us about 300 posts:P
Yeah, I'd say he's done a lot of good things for teh United States, just not nearly enough. The Stimulus package could and should have been far better and composed mostly of infrastructure spending, permanent investment tax credits, and aid to state and local governments. Instead we got a stimulus bill that was mostly rebate checks to consumers, which any economist can tell you doesn't stimulate the economy. The part of the stimulus package that was actual stimulus was more than offset by cuts in spending by state and local governments.
Ya he has. Unemployment is still high, US debt is skyrocketing and his horrid Obamacare and stimulus plans didn't help that, he even apologized to the whole world for us.
Well he created Obamacare so that is at least something I guess. (though he did kind of still that idea from Flopney)
TARP was Bush.
- Stimulus package
- Auto bailout
- TARP

Don't even get me started on that bull crap.

Damnit.. That was going to be my response.00-Riddick-00

Don't even get me started on that bull crap. What you don't think killing Osama was a good thing? :lol:What? He did get Bin Laden. Although it took him 500K to do 9/11, cost U.S. a lil bit more than that to fight the "war on terror".
Sedin44
Indeed he has. I could list them, but I'm feeling lazy right now. I'll just say that Obamacare ended fifty years of gridlock when it comes to healthcare.
are you trying to say that the war on terror has only costed about $500K?He did get Bin Laden. Although it took him 500K to do 9/11, cost U.S. a lil bit more than that to fight the "war on terror".

No he's saying 9/11 only cost $500k to fund.
are you trying to say that the waron terror has only costed about $500K? My interpretation is that he's saying it cost Bin Laden 500k to plan the 9/11 bombings, and it cost the US more to fight in Afghanistan. Either that, or he's saying the government was behind 9/11, and it cost them 500k to pull it off. Quite the ambiguous post though, no?He did get Bin Laden. Although it took him 500K to do 9/11, cost U.S. a lil bit more than that to fight the "war on terror".
Serraph105
Oh, and my answer to this thread is yes, he passed Obamacare, though very little else.

I have no clue what this post is trying to say.sonicareI think he's saying it cost Osama 500k to orchestrate 9/11, but it took the US a lot more to fight the war on terror. Of course, it was always about ball bearings not oil. That was the secret. By funding 9/11, we could attack Iraq which had nothing to do with the 9/11 attacks, and thus push our global agenda of ball bearings. Makes sense. But are the ball (bearings) inert? /oldmeme
Honestly he has done little, but what he has done wrong greatly outway any good. The national debt went from 10 to nearly 16 trillion. Yes bush did horrible to but he only did 5 trillion of damage in 8 years.
that 6 trillion dollars has gone no where, the economy is still in the same crappy state as before, unemployment has went no were, and he has veto bills to create jobs.
He was a positive president (don't know about now) despite that I don't agree or share his views on most matters.
And he did give hope to people like me.
People with weird or uncommon names can be president of the United States. :P
The economy is not dependent on politicians or policymakers. The economy (in fact, the entire country) is dependent on us - The American people.
Yes, he's definitely been a net positive (unlike any Republican candidate would be) but he could have done much better. His biggest mistake was pissing away a metric sh*tload of political capital on appeasing Republicans in the first half of his term. Though that may have helped him a little as people are starting to realize what a bunch of obstructionist f*cktards the GOP and their constituents are.
