Having rewatched the original Xmen, shit doesn't make sense. Sabertooth is a different person. Xavier mentions he met Magneeto when he was 18, a major plot point being Xavier not understanding how Magneeto is blocking his telepathy. Aside from some, humongous discrepancy's when taken on a movies rather than delving into how unified they are, on a whole I think the quality (6-7 movies on) is better than Nolans Batman series.

How feels you? Xmen movies or Nolans Batman Series?

The only good X-Men movie is First Class. There rest are rubbish. TDKR is also rubbish.

I gave up on the X-men movies after pt 2. I hear good things about the new Wolverine movie and the retro X-men that happens in the 60's.

I own all the Dark Knight movies.

Remember all of Batman's joints were fucked up in the beginning of DKR.

I'd have to watch it again, I've only seen it once.

The new superman movie has nothing to do with Nolans. It is designed to be both a cash in on the "universe" avengers concept and a reboot of the most popular DC character, Batman.

Meh. They should have hired Adam West to do it then if it's going to be a silly cash in.

I agree TDK is rubbish. It has some good individual scenes though, mainly with Bane.

Disagree about First Class, would put Xmen 1/2 ahead of it. The effects have came along way though. The effects in Xmen (1) look fairly dated in many scenes.

People are ripping on Ben Afleck but honestly, Christian Bale was fucking terrible in TDK/TDKR.

He'd seriously have to try hard to be worse than the cookie monster.

We still haven't heard Ben Afleck's Batman voice.

I somehow doubt it will be better than Bale's.

In what regard my friend? I would disagree in quite a few respects. e.g. female characters and love interests in most of Nolans movies are pretty bad. Likewise it's tonally inconsistent and sometimes ("so that's what that feels like") comes across as flat. In the Xmen (1) it seemed to rather elegantly move from serous po-faced Patrick Stewart and Ian Mckellen scenes to Hugh Jackman cracking jokes about how stupid everything is.
