It's amazing, I'm 8 years removed from the current HS class, but I still remember it like it was yesterday.

This is OT. You know most of us are bitter about something. :PA lot of school years hate in here. :P

i'm still in university and if you mean hs, yeh. I got away with so much stuff, not cheating.
Like ways to avoid doing any work.
Some real good friends there too, all responsible ppl, non dumbo friends.
**** no, being forced to pay attention to something you care nothing about for 1-2 hours at a time, 3-6 times a day is borderline torture.
In some ways yes. I don't miss school work, still got plenty of that since I am in university, however I miss how simple my life was back then. horgen123Exactly. I don't miss the homework and worrying about tests but there's still plently I miss about high school and tons that I miss about that era.
I have a love-hate relationship with school in general. I LOVE to teach and learn, but I HATE having to push myself to make good grades. I finished my undergrad in '05, my grad in '07 and took a break until I got the post-grad itch in '11 and started law school. I don't really enjoy law school the way I thought I would, but I think that's because I got married last year and would rather spend every minute with my wife, rather than studying law 24/7.
As far as High School is concerned - no, I don't miss it. I don't think I had the traditional experience that some long for, so I'm glad it's over with. My wife, however, LOVED it, as she was in band, student councel and just about anything else a nerdy, future doctor would be involved in. Hell, I never even went to prom because I was too poor at the time :p
I can't wait to get law school out of the way so that I can grow my business and head back to higher-ed as a professor (best years of my professional life), where I can teach and research again (my passion).
I'm at uni but if you're referring to High School, I do get nostalgic thinking about it sometimes. I did prefer college though, despite the harder work. :P
I actually found college easier. Not sure why. Maybe it's because I had a lot more free time to do my work because of less classes.I'm at uni but if you're referring to High School, I do get nostalgic thinking about it sometimes. I did prefer college though, despite the harder work. :P

Good point, actually. We got frees which could be spent at the library (though unless I had an essay to do I spent it in the common room with my friends :P) and we could choose the 4 subjects to study for the two years (dropping one in the second year though).
