I think you meant "wheelie"...showing willy to your girlfriends, while I'm sure you do, is a completely different thing...

Not one bit. If you're going to ride one, make sure you're a registered organ donor.

I ride a Vespa, but I'd like to upgrade to a motorcycle. I've no desire for freeway riding though, around here people drive crazy in cars on the highway, and the road conditions are horrible too.

Two wheeled death machines. Nothing more. Lost two friends in motorcycle accidents.

It's other people... For some reason people fail to see motorcycles on the road and pull out right in front of them.

That's how I view them. I only know one person to have died on a motorcycle (drunk and stole the bike...he was a dirtbag), but I would never drive one under the best of conditions.

Some part of me wants to love motorbikes: the freedom and the excitement. However, even bikers with sharp reflexes can never be prepared for the worst reckless or inattentive drivers of four wheel vehicles.

I think they're death traps, honestly. The most horrific accidents I've seen have been motorcycle accidents.

@SaintLeonidas

bigger death traps than walking?

every year around 25,000 people die in slip and fall accidents while motorcycling averages around 4,700 deaths.

like i say every time stuff like this comes up, you dudes are worried about minor stuff while never seeing the real dangers around you.

What you're saying doesn't change the fact that the most horrific traffic accidents I've ever seen have been motorcycle accidents.

Compare the number of pedestrians and the number of motorcyclists. I'm sure the pedestrian/accident ratio is much lower than motorcyclists/accident ratio.

I prefer nice, comfortable cars over motorcycles. But I'll admit I sometimes wish I had one when I get stuck in heavy traffic.

I grew up riding motorcycles since I was 8, from 8 years old to 18 then gave it up. I had motocross rides, Honda, Kawasaki's then lastly Suzuki. I had a freak crash and got knocked out, since I play guitar too I realized I could have broken my hands, neck, fingers... death so I gave it all up. I'm old... that was 30 years ago lol. Street bikes are almost a guaranteed accident waiting to happen, it's all dangerous. Some of those triple jumps they do in modern motocross are insane, you land that stuff wrong, or land on, or somebody lands on you and you're busted for life.
