I've been playing the guitar for about a month and have been getting decent at it. I was wondering if any guitar players on gamespot would know some easy songs for me to learn. I've learned so far only most of songs like http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nd-gvYfIVjc Which is Alone Again by Dokken and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sxdmw4tJJ1Y which is Rock You Like a Hurricane by Scorpians. But anyway, do you guys know of any easy songs for me to learn that i could play the whole way through? Thanks

I've been playing since 9, that being 5 years ago, and I found out that a good song to sing and play along to is Wonderwall by Oasis. It also impresses the ladies. 8)

If you really want easy songs, most of the easy ones are chord strumming based, but what you're playing now is a good way to get into lick-based playing, something I've yet to master. Also, don't play just to impress girls, play to legitimately learn an instrument.

Green Day songs are usually pretty easy to play. Try basket case, and Jesus of suburbia. Then maybe try some Nirvana. This is of course assuming your playing electric

Iron Man is pretty easy. Also, try using songsterr. It's easier than using regular tab.

depends if its electrical and u wanna focus on power chords or if its acustic and wanna focus on full chords... first i ever learned was the riff to smoke on the water then i learned metallica, probably starting by nothing else matters intro (yeah i started playing without pic and then had to relearn to use pic...) but nirvana is easy to play all the way through - atleast the tab book i borrowed from the library... but easiest is probably to try whatever ur into since its more motivation to learn it then have fun!

smoke on the water by Deep Purple, Iron Man by Black Sabbath and Sulfur by Slipknot.

all are very easy and can be picked up after only a few hours of practice.

Mainstream is the way to go if you want to learn specific songs.

. Nirvana is a good one, very simple and catchy.

. Red Hot Chili Peppers, BSSM was a good album for me to learn on

You may like Alice in Chains, specifically their Facelift album if you're into heavy 80s sounding stuff.

If you're interested in acoustic I'd try some of their Jar of Flies EP, or maybe even check out their MTV Live performance, it's really good.

Yeah I've heard of that book. I'll have to check out more about him, I actually don't know much about him.

I like him alot, though he's a bit hypocritical. Even if you don't like his philosophies, he's still a very funny guy. :)

And more songs for TC, Gloria by Them, and I Wanna Be Your Dog by The Stooges. Oh, and Satisfaction by the Rolling Stones.

Wonderwall by Oasis

Slide by the Goo Goo Dolls

Walk the Line by Johnny Cash

The Weary Kind by Ryan Bingham (if you want to do some picking, best for acoustic)

One by U2

Collide by Howie Day
