I found Gravity very boring lol. Interstellar kept me glued to the seat till the end ( Its now my most favourite Christopher Nolan movie ).
Regarding space travel mystery Alien I (1979) and Event Horizon were also good.
wbu guys ? :)

You found Gravity boring? w0t
I prefer Gravity to Interstellar.
Unfortunately :(
How? The film is fast paced and there's never a dull moment in it. It's fine if you don't like it but I can't understand how you can be "bored" of it.

Problem was only 1 person ( after Clooney drifts away) throughout the whole movie, i need more people / conversations to enjoy a movie. Got bored lol. I also didn't enjoy Tom Hanks Cast Away for same reason.Hope you understand :)
Still need to see 'Interstellar' again before I have any definitive opinion - though I do love it. So currently I'd say 'Gravity' which was incredible.
Love how people are seemingly incapable of taking both an objective and subjective view of things. Objectively, 'Gravity' is FAR from being a "bad" film. Doesn't mean you can't still subjectively not like/enjoy it.
They were both awesome space movies, but yeah, Interstellar was far more enjoyable. Gravity deserves praise for being a thriller set in a very unusual setting.
That just reminds me I have yet to watch either of them. Will definitely check Interstellar out, but do you guys recommend Gravity as well?
I don't like either one, I've never watched them.
Typical gerg answer :)
What's wrong with his answer? He hasn't watched them. =)

You can't determine whether you do or did not like something until you've viewed it.

Yeah, and he said he doesn't like either one though he admits to seeing neither. He's talking out of his ass, like 99% of his posts.
@SaintLeonidas: Do you like movies you've never seen?
This is going to be a "lack of belief is not a disbelief" kind of conversation, isn't it? Sigh, we can never win these...

Personally i'd give a opinion of liking or not liking only after watching a movie :)

It's a typical gerg response. I can't remember the last time he posted in a thread about a movie or TV show and indicated that he saw the movie or liked it.
In fact, these threads tend to degenerate into gerg vs everybody else.
Personally i'd give a opinion of liking or not liking only after watching a movie :)
Same, but even though he was just stating the obvious his answer is not incorrect =)
@airshocker: Yeah I'm confused as to why people still reply to thegerg seriously. Don't think I've ever seen him say anything that was even remotely insightful.
@SaintLeonidas: Yes you can, you just can't determine if you dislike it. Do you like my family?
I can talk bad about your family, but I’m not an authority on your family, therefore my conclusion is merely conjecture. There’s nothing wrong with conjecture, but the title of this thread is
Did you enjoy Gravity or Interstellar more?
A 5-year old would understand that this title implies this is a thread for people who have seen the movies. Conjecture from people who have seen neither is unwarranted. Clearly, the gerg is a 4-year old and incapable of understanding simple veiled meaning.
Well apparently, Gravity changed cinema forever. So Gravity.
Wait who said that?
I enjoyed Interstellar a lot more. It featuring science stuff like wormholes, black holes as well as different settings(from Earth to the edge of our solar system, and then to another galaxy and planets) and lastly, putting the flow of time in the equation too earned it a place as one of my favorite sci-fi movies.
@SaintLeonidas: Do you like movies you've never seen?
I do not hold opinions or have feelings on things I've never experienced. Be completely assinine to do so.

Saying you don't like my family is not a negative opinion about them. How can you like them if you've never met them? Not liking them (or any other answer like "no opinion" or "never met them" which still means you don't like them) is the only right answer. Saying you like them or dislike them would be weird since, like I said, you've never met them. Saying I don't like something I've never experienced is no conjecture; saying I like or dislike it is =)
But anyway, I digress, so back to my original question; does anybody recommend watching Gravity? I'm kind of curious about the movie but haven't managed to sit down and watch it yet.
@indzman: You better not offer unless you're ok with me dropping by for a visit because if I'm ever close by I'm giving you a call. Of course I don't have your phone number nor do I do exactly where you live, but details...

Um, well I think you maybe misinterpreted what I was saying but regardless you arrived at the same conclusion I was trying to make: it's inappropriate to speak about something that you know little to nothing about. Coincidentally, it's also inappropriate to post in a thread when posting in said thread implies you have seen what said topic is about. Something the Gerg seem incapable, unwilling, who-the-hell-cares-why, of understanding.
ANYWAY, Gravity is a tricky movie to recommend because it’s an event driven-thriller, rather than something like a political thriller that’s more about the characters. I do not have a problem with that but some people may be bored by this.

Should be fine. Don't know if I'll love it but it should be enjoyable. I've heard a lot of mixed opinions about it. To some people it was an amazing, food-for-thought movie and to others it was Sandra Bullock drifting away in space for an interminable amount of time, which I'm not sure if it's true. Will give it a try though; thanks for your insight ^_^
