Mines is loud, facing a freeway wall, i luv it. I hear cars all day long. Neighbors are to themselves, quiet suburban area. No corner stores, or trouble. Not fancy, but just your regular one floor homes. What about you guys ?
My hood is mix with Hispanic, Blacks, and few Asains. The cars comes and goes, girls dress sexy as they walk, and the house are small and pretty good shape. The Neighborhood isn't bad, I say it's just your normal people who lives in harmony.
Cars & sexy girls ! Sounds like a fast n furious movie. You must live close to the city. I live so far away, i see cows before i hit my house, no lie, lol ..

Pretty much covers everything but in essence, a really nice area with very low crime, lots to do outside, great place to raise a family, near major cities, tons of artsy stuff and great restaurants, and a growing tech job market. It's also positioned within a few hours of both the beach and the smokey mountains in fact going camping this weekend.
I lived in Boulder, Colorado for most of my adult life. It's a broad mix of socio-economic statuses but overall it's a very liberal town that's often compared to the likes of Austin, Santa Cruz, San Fran, or Portland. My house was in the south eastern end of town and was three houses down from an elementary school. It was set a few blocks in from the highway so while access was convenient there was no road noise, and I was about a block away from the nearest two lane (each way) road. CU Campus was about a 14 block walk west and if you could get a line of sight from the trees the Flatirons were clearly visible in the same direction. Neighbors ranged from college students, to middle aged professionals to even a few retirees.

@BranKetra: Want to switch? My neighbor absolutely hates music so if you don't play any instrument you should be fine. I'm white so I should be fine with your neighbor.
In a subdivision with cookiecutter houses. Some desert separates my neighborhood from the city proper which I like.
Very quiet with the only sounds breaking the silence are birds and the occasional car passing through. Not many people are outside except in the morning when kids walk to the school and joggers/walkers take advantage of the cool temperatures.
This place is dead during the hottest hours. Most people are either at work or in school. No one stays outside except those who have swimming pools in their backyard. But, it comes back to life when the kids come home from school. During sunset and evening twilight, kids are outside playing. Burglaries might be a problem if it wasn't for a cop station nearby. The crime rate is very low this side of town.
Night time is dark because there are no streetlights except at the main roads. No one stays outside at night because lots of creatures come out: scorpions, coyotes, rattlesnakes, even some wild boars. If I leave for work early enough at dawn, I can see some coyotes skulking away to their dens. There are strict rules about leaving trash at night which scavenging animals can get to.
Needless to say, the neighborhood is very clean, very well-maintained. Each homeowner is responsible for keeping their property clean plus the sidewalk, curb, and street that borders their property.
Yup. Even Arizona gets some snow.
low key, quiet, fairly affluent ( new construction) mostly white/asian suburbia
That looks like one of the subdivisions at Riverside in the LA Metro area. We have friends there. I can see how the climate can affect the type of houses. There, two-story houses are fine because it doesn't get too hot during summer. Here, most houses are single-story because the second floor would be unbearably hot even with A/C.
@jun_aka_pekto: area is in the northeast so deadly heat isn't an issue. the units also have basements underground which are nice and cool in the summer
the only common wild animals we have to deal with are deer. fuckers ate my tulips last year.

Ah, the northeast. We spent six years in Upstate New York until we moved last year. I had a great time. The house we had there was single-story which isn't common. I wish we have basements. They're perfect for man caves.
The only bad part of the Northeast are the winters. We were in a lake-effect snow area. We had to dig ourselves out every time there was a snow storm.
Anyway, the houses in your photo was probably from the same housing contractor as those of the subdivision where our friends are.
I'm surprised you don't deal much with skunks. We had to deal with the stench every spring. There are also wild turkeys along with the deer.
Can't afford nice place yet. Just a small condo surrounded by 600K houses. If I can, I would buy a house closer to my work. SoCal is getting crowded.
Getting crowded?
You mean it already isn't? XD
Also, how's the water situation going? Are people there in danger of running out of water for drinking and bathing? Because that sounds scary.
It's quiet, mostly populated by families and since it's not downtown, it has a little bit of green as well. There's this huge road next to my block so cars can be heard quite often but I don't even notice anymore. I live in an apartment as is the case for almost everyone here unless you're in certain suburban areas. I like it here, it feels like a middle ground between busy city life and outskirts.
@gamerguru100: Yall americans live in neighborhoods just like the ones I usually see in american movies. :P
What country do you live in?

Actually the lower classes have taken the major hit. I come from a middle class family so to be honest, my quality of life has not been decreased noticeably despite recent events. That may change if we do go bankrupt but hey I'm an optimist.

Were you expecting something like this? ;-)

I still find it funny that when you first play as Trevor, he has over $100,000, yet he's living in a shithole.

In my case, he has $20M+ in the bank and he's still trash bin-hopping to find food. He He.
Anyway, this is the neighborhood in my hometown (Nevada). I always love coming home to visit even though technically, it's not my home anymore. We're (my uncle's place) actually somewhere at the other side from the photo.

NY here too. winter sucked this year. but when spring finally rolls around it's glorious :)
It's a very out of the way rural area. Maybe middle-class by the standards of this part of the country. Entirely white from what I can tell.
No drought here at least.

I know the drill. There's so many little town fairs and festivals that pop out. Plus, NY is a great state for outdoor activities. Fishing, camping, cycling, kayaking, hanging out at lake beaches, visiting Canada, concerts, the annual state's fair in Syracuse.
Lots of things to do compared to here in Arizona. But, I'm the only one in my family who loved it over there. The long harsh NY winters were simply too much for them. I'm the only one in the family who loved cold-weather.
The 81st richest county in the United States.

HAHAHAHAHA.
There's a small forest right in front of my house and then there's just a lot of greenery everywhere. The houses are all identical. Everyone's a doctor here. So, yeah I live in a pretty educated neighborhood. The Mosque here in my neighborhood has some really learned and educated people.
Big houses, everyone keeps to themselves. You could keep the front door unlocked all night and not be scared that someone will break in and rob you.
Out in the NSW countryside. This is still a relatively new residential spot, so it's mainly just paddock on most sides.

Same. This area is basically just middle-class families for the most part.
The main street leads to a dead end anyway with little more than grass beyond it, so people would have to go out of their way through well lit streets.
@Celldrax: Good to see another Aussie on Gamespot, nice area you live at mate - gotta love the peaceful countryside.
