i recently found volumes 3-12 first printing (2005-2007) at a value village at $2.99 a piece so i had to get them.

i have found the first 2 volumes at a book store but they are like 21st printing feb 2014 or something and not first printing 2005, is there any changes/edits/anything different from the 2005 first print from the 2014 21st print?

is there any way to tell if i look online if its an 2005 edition compaired to the 2014 reprints, i want to try to get all FP if i can and all online sites i go to "say" they are 2005 but i dont think they really are 2005 FP's but the 2014 RP's.

i could really use some help with this, thanks.

A printing is usually just another run of the book. An edition is when changes and edits have been made. As far as I know, the contend of any Death Note should be exactly the same now as it was then.

Is it even common for manga to get different editions? There's not much to review...it's not like it's research or something =P Maybe a typo at the most.

That sounds like it's the same book just not first edition. I think it will be the same thing.
